Job Description:
TCI Foundation invites applications for the position of Program Officer (Healthcare) purely on contractual basis. The Program Officer (Healthcare) works closely with various divisions of TCI Foundation to develop and execute a strategy for the continued growth and success of the Foundation. In support of the Foundation’s mission, the Program Officer works with a core group of professionals, tasked with managing operations, communications and policy outreach and partner collaborations for the Foundation.
The Program Officer is responsibility for effectively managing the field operations of TCI Foundation healthcare projects including HIV/AIDS prevention & control program for truckers. S/he will support the field staff in overseeing the implementation, coordination, capacity building and reporting for field operations. S/he will help in strengthening and supervising all field operations through direct work with the field teams. Frequent travel to all locations where the program is being implemented is required.
Purpose:
Program Development:
Build relationships with key partners in government, non-profits, foundations, multilateral aid agencies, and the corporate sector in India and globally. Based on Foundation’s strategic programming focus areas. Prepare presentations, reports and other necessary documents for funding agencies and prospect engagement. Engage key organization leaders as needed to fulfill the strategies developed. Develop a supportive, collaborative relationship with key Foundation funders and broader institutions to ensure and provide measurable deliverables.
Field Operations:
Monitor field level activities.
Oversee the execution and implementation of various project activities at local level.
Coordinate with government agencies and funding partners for smooth implementation of projects.
Ensure consolidation and timely submission of project reports.
Conduct review (quarterly or monthly as required) of project staff and provide feedback and support.
Develop monthly progress reports
Identify, track and document program trends, lessons learned and best practices.
Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation team on tracking and reporting project activities.
Identify and ensure support for staff capacity building needs.
Lead field staff recruitment.
Coordinate field visits for funding agencies, government and Foundation HQs officials.
Work with healthcare centre managers to ensure quality of data and support them to reduce errors
Administrative affairs including accounts settlement of field staff on time.
Qualifications and Experience:
BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ B.Pharma/ with MBA (Health Management)/ MPH with 2 years’ experience in Public Health at National or State Level.
OR
Masters in Demography and Population Studies/ Biostatistics with 5 years’ experience in Public Health Program at National & State Level.
OR
Master’s in Social Work (MSW) with 3 years of relevant work experience in healthcare program at National Level
Communications Skills:
Attention to detail and advanced writing and presentation skills for communicating Foundation’s projects, policy, reports in ways that are accessible to funding agencies. This requires clear, precise, technical and non-technical writing, and confident, effective public speaking.
Time Management:
Proven ability to multitask and successfully complete projects on tight deadlines with little or no supervision. A willingness to work hard, be self-motivated, and learn will be essential for doing well in this position.

Demonstrated proficiency using software such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
Nature of appointment: The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of one year and thereafter extendable for specified period based on performance appraisal to be assessed for work output, personal attributes, functional competency etc.

Remuneration and Annual Increment: Would depend on qualification, experience & performance during written test/ interview.
Posting Place: Gurgaon
Deliverables: The Program Officer will be required to submit a Monthly Activity Report and Annual Report to the Director. Performance appraisal would include review of monthly activity reports, field visits, timely completion of activities & innovations done and annual assessment.
