Hand
in Hand (HiH), India, is a public charitable trust working to alleviate
rural poverty through an integrated process of promoting education,
skill development, job creation, health, environment and holistic
community development. Having started its operations on a humble scale
in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu in 2002, the organization has now
expanded its work across 17 States of India and its model of ‘job
creation’ replicated in over 8 countries across the globe through its
partners. The 5 pillars or work areas of the organization are as follows: i)Child Labour Elimination and Promotion of Education ii)Self Help Groups and Microfinance for Livelihoods promotion and job creation iii)Skill Development and Technology Centres for bridging the skill gap iv)Health for preventive healthcare and awareness generation; v)Environment for promoting a clean and hygienic environment through solid waste management and natural resource management.
Additionally,
a flag ship programme of the organization, the village uplift programme
aims to create sustainable communities by integrating all 5 pillar
activities of the organization in a village.

towards achieving its mission of creating 10 million jobs by 2025.
ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, HAND IN HAND INDIA - HMEL PROJECT(based at Sirsa, Haryana).
In
order to promote women empowerment and enterprise development among
SHGs, by providing integrated training and value added support for
enterprise across 13 villages of Punjab and Haryana (near Guru Gobind
Singh refinery, Phullokhari, Bathinda, Punjab), HiH India is looking
for a competent and committed person in developing and promoting
enterprises.
Key Responsibilities: 1.To undertake market
research in and around Bathinda and Sirsa for suitable /feasible
enterprises and buy-back linkages for SHG women and youth. 2.To
build a report based on the market research and share that with the
project team and initiate discussion on the same for finalizing the
enterprises with good market demand. 3.Identifying market
opportunities and mapping the same with the group’s ability to prepare
capacity building plan of the group enterprises. 4.To establish group
based enterprises (GBEs) with integrated capacity building support to
SHGs with up-skilling, enterprise management, and documentation and
market linkages. 5.To prepare proposals for enterprise development based on adequate research.
6.To
design a proposal for each enterprise like specifications of equipment,
capacity, make, energy ratings, efficiency, space requirement, storage
area requirement, and necessary certification.
7.To ensure up-skilling and build the capacities of SHG women towards market linkages and buy-back orders. 8.To
strengthen the existing enterprises with value added support to the
SHGs with up-skilling; business management, finance management, exposure
visits and enterprise documentation, Market Linkages. 9.To provide
enterprise specific training like equipment operationalization training,
raw material sourcing & storage process.
10.Ensure timely
documentation and submission of MIS and reports to the Project Manager
and responsible officers in Delhi /Head office in areas of Enterprise
development.
11.To liaison with village Heads, community people and HMEL staff for ensuring smooth and timely project implementation. QUALIFICATIONS: 1.He
/She should be a post graduate in Social Science /MBA from a recognized
University with a strong work experience in enterprise development and
market linkages. 2.He/ She should have a working experience of 5-6 years in the development sector particularly in the rural projects. 3.He/
She should have a good understanding of integrated aspects of skill
development, market linkages, backward and forward linkages in promoting
rural entrepreneurship. 4.He /She should have good documentation and communication skills, both in Hindi and English and preferably in Punjabi.
Remuneration will be in the range of Rs 5-6lakh per annum, depending upon the skills and qualifications of the candidate.
