World Vision India is an implementing agency (Sub
Recipient) for JEET 2.0 (Joint efforts for elimination of TB)
supported by The Global Fund through William J Clinton Foundation
(WJCF) who is the Principle Recipient at multiple locations in the
states of Bihar, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. A full time LTBI
coordinator is required to carry out project activities at field level,
he/she will be based at project target location/district. LTBI
Coordinator is an integral part of field team that
supports the household screening of the index TB patient with
treatment adherence of the same. LTBI Coordinator is involved in LTBI
patient care and support through counselling of patients and record
maintenance in terms of treatment outcomes of patients.
Key Roles:
·Coordinate with Tele counsellors, programme
staff (STS, TB HV etc.) and PPSA staff to obtain information on
notified TB patients
·Conduct home
visit within 15 days of treatment initiation and meet with patient and
contacts to counsel them on LTBI, undertake symptom screening and
answer their queries on TB and LTBI treatment
·Link symptomatic contacts for X-ray at nearest public or private health facility
·Provide LTBI drugs to all contacts
·Conduct follow-up visits to contacts for tracking adherence and delivering drug refills
·Provide additional support for contacts who have left the treatment mid-way for resuming the treatment
·Provide necessary support to patients in case of adverse drug reaction
·Counsel patients and family members for continuous and complete course of treatment
·Record treatment adherence on a monthly basis and treatment outcome at the end of treatment
·Maintain duly completed patient records and share them with MIS Assistant on a periodic basis
·Provide information on social support/security schemes for which patients are eligible
Key Deliverables:

·All patients and household contacts counselled to be evaluated within 7 days of assignment
·All eligible contactsneed to be initiated on TPT within 10 days of assignment
·All contacts initiated on TPTachieve successful treatment outcome

·Monitoring indicators are regularly reported within the organization and to the PR
