MelJol
is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered under the Societies
Registration Act. MelJol also has international presence through its
sister concerns, namely Aflatoun International & Child Youth &
Finance International with a collective presence across 116 countries.
MelJol was initiated as a field action project of Family and Child
Welfare, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai in December 1991.
Since its inception MelJol has focused on fostering healthy attitudes in
children, creating awareness of the different needs of children from
different backgrounds, and building spirit of confidence and
entrepreneurship.
MelJol seeks to contribute in addressing the
issues related to India’s URBAN and RURAL poverty by meaningfully
involving children, youth and community It seeks to encourage a new
generation of young people and intends to equip them with knowledge and
skills to better understand the power of economic growth, social &
financial equity and concepts of risk and reward enabling them to break
the cycle of poverty.
Major Areas of Responsibility :
• Assist the manager in maintaining and following the accounting and finance policies of MelJol. •
Assist the manager in the finance and office administration department
function effectively and smoothly with the highest standards of service.
• Make entries in the books of accounts with utmost accuracy and
coordinating with project offices to get the proper supporting
documentary evidences. • Ensure timely compliance and statutory and regulatory requirement • Assist in finalization of accounts • Assist of audits (Internal/ statutory / donor audit) and solving queries. • Produce accurate, high quality utilization report of donors on timely basis • Assist the monitoring of project budgets and highlighting of area of concerns • Basic knowledge about FCRA statutory compliances • Processing of salaries, including PF, PT monthly basis • Well versed with writing letter and dealing with administrative matters • Well versed with latest tally • Assist removing details at the time of income tax scrutiny • Assist in bank related work
Require Qualification:
Min. Graduate
Experience:
Min. 2 years in account and admin department. (Preferably in NGO)
Required Skills, Abilities and Attitudes:
• Knowledge and experience in computer applications word, excel, tally • Work with team spirit and contribute to team building • Good learning attitude and participatory approach
