the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young
adults, parents, and leaders who bring lasting and positive change in
their communities. We promote communities whose individuals and
institutions participate in valuing, protecting, and advancing the worth
and rights of children. A member of ChildFund International, ChildFund

2.About the Proposal
India,
being a developing country, needs human resources equipped with a
remarkable set of 21st-century skills and attitudes to produce
technological advancements using interdisciplinary thinking. STEM in
itself is a fusion of four broad domains (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics) and holds a significant role in becoming
future-ready. Many institutions are adopting STEM methodology in
training their professionals as it is a proven framework for enhancing
skills like logical thinking, computational thinking, problem-solving,
etc. STEM helps in maximizing the involvement of a child in a holistic
learning process. It is also helpful in developing the power of
deductions, reasoning, and developing the mastery of pattern
recognitions.
ChildFund
India's educational initiatives focus on ensuring quality education,
improving enrolment, and reducing drop-out rates amongst the most
disadvantaged and marginalized children. Its education programs were
implemented in 14 states in India reaching over 160,000 children.

and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills. Young children
will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what,
how, and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Math). The project is currently implemented in 12 government schools in
the operational states of ChildFund India. These include 5 schools from
the Malkangiri district of Odisha, 4 from Udaipur district of Rajasthan,
and 3 from Jharkhand (1 school each from Deoghar, Giridih, and Latehar
district). The following are outcomes of this project are-
