Position: Livelihood Officer
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Location: Dibrugarh, Assam
Livelihood Officer will work closely with the team on developing
strategic planning and technical assistance on livelihood interventions.
He/she will be responsible to support with supervision, strengthen, and
monitor livelihood-related activities in Assam. He/she has to focus
more on the sanitary napkin production unit located in Dibrugarh and
will closely work with the SHG women to motivate and guide them on the
production and marketing of the sanitary pads. Social mobilization,
training, capacity building, facilitating bank linkages, conflict
management, and relationship building will be one of the prime focus for
the position. Develop clear market development strategy with supply
chain till the end user. Be responsible as a Lead in the implementation
of the Project on production and marketing of sanitary products for
increased revenue of SHG.
Lead, strategies, conceptualize, design, develop and implement livelihood related projects
out participatory need assessments and identify appropriate livelihood
intervention to increase incomes for the SHGs in the target areas
market linkages strategy for increased production and sales of Sanitary
Pads to ensure sustainable and independent livelihood unit for SHG
market linkages to enhance dialogue and establish linkages between
producers and buyers. Capitalize on available potential market
Coordinate with SHG women at the production unit to mobilize deliver the set target for the month
Ensure that the SHGs are maintaining all the financial records and time to time audit by the group is undertaken
Support and identify skill training and strengthen the capacity of the SHG
Develop and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures and build the capacity of the team
Coordinate and link with partners, donors, and stakeholders as well as with ADRA headquarters
Provide ongoing training and support to project staff to maintain consistent monitoring tools and indicators.
in preparing reports, documentation, and archiving and managing M&E
Data records related to the sanitary pad unit production and sale
Undertake Field monitoring for project assessments, surveys, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders
Take the lead in establishing accountability mechanisms and ensure Quality control
Ensure that any conflict coming from the project is reported and is managed
Attend market linkage forums and build relationships/ rapport with the local Chamber of Commerce/ business committees.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Qualification & Skills Required:
Graduate or Master of Social Work and allied subjects, or master’s in business administration.
Preferably 5-8 years’ relevant experience working with livelihood thematic areas.
Experience in working with SHGs.
Proven experience in establishing market linkage and sustainable livelihoods.
Ability to work flexibly and independently in a networked working environment.
Excellent writing skills and an ability
to communicate clearly and respectfully, superior time management and
Fluency in the English and local language, with demonstrated written skills.
Should be a team player and worked in a competitive and professional environment
Willing and able to travel throughout the project areas.
Honesty in all undertakings with behaviour congruent with ADRA principles and moral standards.
