Applications are invited for the position of a Programme Officer –
Communication & Fundraising to be located in our office in Delhi.
Requirements: Post - Graduate/Graduate preferably with a degree in journalism or mass communication 5 to 6 years experience preferably in media/journalism/research, with two years experience in a senior role. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands whilst maintaining an organised working environment • Ability to work under pressure • Flexibility to undertake a range of tasks • Strong leadership skills • At least two year of fundraising experience • Quick thinker and ability to make decisions under pressure
Key Responsibilities: Communication: •
Plan & Develop the content for the website. www.ncpedp.org, which
aims to be a one-stop shop on information related to disability • Provide support to other NCPEDP Teams in the production of all communication / printing related matters • Coordinate with media and PR on all events/ developments including issuing press releases and organising press conferences • Daily monitoring of national media • Plan and develop the content for Disability News Information Service (DNIS), a fortnightly news service which is envisaged to work like a news agency • Manage regular social media updates – facebook, twitter, instagram and linkedin • Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications • All other related duties as and when required
Fundraising: • Raise funds for our cause and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets • Build upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships on a regular basis • Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities • Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities •
Assist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and
coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event
planning and execution • Create marketing materials, like flyers and brochures, to be used for the promotion of events
Applicants should be willing to travel and should be flexible and open
to working all days depending on work exigencies. Salary will
commiserate with qualifications and experience.
